Welcome to Kindergarten! I am looking forward to all the learning we will be doing together this year!
I am a graduate of The University of Nebraska at Omaha College of Education and recently graduated with a Master's degree from Doane College in Reading. I have been teaching at Western Hills since 1999. I am married and have two sons, Bryce and Gage. The two boys sure keep my husband and I busy! We also have a dog, Tahoe, who is an extremely spoiled Lab/Cocker Spaniel mix!
Our year is a busy one filled with lots of learning!
The students have the opportunity to go on field trips, work with community partners, and participate in holiday programs. I enjoy watching the students grow as readers, writers, mathematicians, and citizens throughout the year. I also send home a homework assignment on Friday for the students to complete and bring back on Monday. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Have a great day!
Guest Readers in Kindergarten
During second semester, I have guest readers of the day during our Stop, Drop, and Read time. Students can sign up to read a book they have practiced, at home, to our class.
